decussata: central and eastern Cuba; Archipiélago de Sabana-Camagüey. Type locality: "America Boreali".

Habitat: freshwater (lakes, ponds, rivers) 
Etymologydecussata means beauty or splendor; probably referring to the markings of young individuals (Seidel & Ernst 2017).
