Holotype: AMNH 63747, fluid preserved mature male, collected by John W. Hilton in 1941 [hiltoni]

Commentcallirostris is also considered as a subspecies of T. scripta.

Habitat: freshwater (lakes, ponds, rivers) 
EtymologyThe species name nebulosa means dark, cloudy, misty, indefinite; referring to the obscure dark ocelli-like markings on the pleural scutes of the carapace.
