Etymology | Named in honor of the dominant ethnolinguistic group of the region where the species exists. We acknowledge the Mucubal people, a subgroup of the Ovahelelo (also known as Herero) ethnolinguistic group, for allowing Ceriaco’s team to camp and study the herpetofauna of their lands and for their welcoming attitude and support. The name is a noun in apposition. |
