Reproductionapparently both oviparous and viviparous reproduction (Shine 1985) 
TypesHolotype: BMNH 1946.8.3.33 (formerly 1906.8.24.62), Caconda, Benguella, collected Dr. W.J. Ansorge. 
DiagnosisDiagnosis: Ceriaco et al. 2024 
CommentPhylogenetics: Mito-nuclear discordance was observed by Butler et al. 2024 with respect to the geographic boundary between T. ansorgii and T. sulcata. However, both species are supported by molecular data. 
EtymologyNamed after the collector of the type, Dr. W.J. Ansorge.
