Etymology | The specific name "nancycoutuae"' is a personal noun in the genitive case, given in memory of Nancy Coutu, an American Peace Corps volunteer who assisted with our Isalo expedition and helped to collect the holotype of this new species. She was murdered in Madagascar on 9 April 1996. |
