DiagnosisDiagnosis: Markings consist of stripes; 21 dorsal scale rows; three prefrontals; ventrals 168-174; caudals 74-81 (Dunn 1939: 213).

EtymologyNamed after Latin taeniatus, having a, provided with a ribbon, tape or band. [“...Greyish olive, with a broad, white lateral band occupying the three outer series of scales...”]. (from Esteban Lavilla, pers. comm., May 2024)
