CommentSIMILAR SPECIES: Enulius sclateri, Trimetopon pliolepis,Trimetopon gracile, Enulius flavitorques, juvenile Geophis ruthveni, Ninia celata (see comparisons for differences). 
EtymologyNamed after Latin simile, like, similar, resembling. [“...The genus is composed of these three obviously related forms...”].
