Diagnosis 
CommentType species: Ensirostris melleri Gray, 1865 is the type species of the genus Ensirostris Gray, 1865. 
Etymologynamed after ”Dr. Meller” who is mentioned by Gray in the section about the “habitat” (= locality) of this species without further comment.
