CommentSynonymy mostly after Cacciali & Köhler 2018.

Habitat: rocks, sand

Diet: a large percentage of the diet of this species (30-50%) consists of ants (Lucas et al. 2023). 
EtymologyNamed after Richard Emmett Etheridge (16 Sep 1929-14 Jan 2019), American herpetologist. See Espinoza & Queiroz for biographical details.
