Type locality: Mount Lamaku (1350 m) (4° 52’ N, 115° 38’ E), 14,6 km from Mendolong, Sipitang District, Sabah, Malaysia.

DiagnosisDiagnosis: A short-legged, small (SVL<45 mm) species of Sphenomorphus having four supraoculars, fewer than 10 lamellae under the fourth toe; scale rows usually 28-30, and prefrontals not meeting in the midline (Inger et al. 2001: 182).
