| Diagnosis | Diagnosis: Sphenomorphus ishaki can be distinguished from all other Sundaland species of Sphenomorphus by the unique combination of having an adult SVL of 38–41 mm; 30–32 smooth, midbody scales; 68–73 paravertebral scales; 60–70 ventral scales; four supraoculars; parietals contacting supraoculars; prefrontals in contact; two enlarged posterior superciliary scales projecting dorsomedially; two loreal scales; six supralabial scales; five infralabial scales; 11 keeled, subdigital lamellae beneath the fourth toe; two enlarged, preanal scales; adpressed limbs not overlapping; body bands absent; faint, dark, dorsolateral stripe; distinct, white, postorbital stripe [from GRISMER 2006] |
