Diagnosis | Diagnosis. Juvenile pattern with 25 to 33 reddish crossbars on a black body (Figs. 2 – 3) and a significantly lower and non-overlapping number of anterior dorsal scale rows in both sexes. Further, lower number of subcaudals and ventrals in both sexes, lower number of united subcaudals in females. Comment | Venomous! Synonymy: Has been considered as a synonym of Walterinnesia aegyptia until recently. Distribution: Nilson & Rastegar-Pouyani recognise the eastern form as a distinct species of Walterinnesia, Walterinnesia morgani (Mocquard, 1905).
