CommentSynonymy: Pentadactylus brunneus COPE 1869 has been removed from the synonymy of Dactylocnemis pacificus (previously Hoplodactylus pacificus), but it’s status remains unclear (HITCHMOUGH et al. in CHAPPLE 2016).

Distribution: The type locality was given as “Australia” fide Malnate 1971. 
EtymologyNamed after Latin brunneus = brown.
