Type locality: Nosy Be Fivondronana, Antsiranana Province.

Diagnosis 
CommentExtremely rare (or extremely secretive), only 7 specimens are known plus a couple of sightings. Similar to Z. maramaintsoa.

Total length up to 50 cm. 
EtymologyNamed after Oskar Boettger (1844-1910), herpetologist at the Senckenberg Museum in Frankfurt am Main.
