DiagnosisDiagnosis: Un taxon fácilmente distinguible de toda otra especie del género por su rostral "fragmentada" fuertemente sobresaliente (Fig. 95, A). Es de notar en Philodryas una cierta tendencia morfológica hacia un manifiesto resalto de la rostral, lo que se puede observar por ejemplo en P. trilineatus Fig. 95, B. (Cei 1993)

EtymologyNamed after D. Manuel Baron MorIat, from whom Berg received specimens of this snake from Tucuman, Argentina.
